Our 2005/6 Season

Harvey

Written by Mary Chase

Directed by Mark Allen-Everett

Presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.

This popular, well-known, 1945 Pulitzer Prize winning play is one that the whole family will enjoy. It's the story of Elwood P. Dowd and his invisible friend, Harvey, a six-and-a-half foot tall rabbit. When Dowd starts to introduce Harvey to guests at a society party, his sister, Veta, decides to have him committed to a sanitarium to spare their family from future embarrassment. Problems arise, however, when a young attending physician mistakenly commits Veta. When the truth comes out, the search is on for Elwood and his invisible companion.
